Role Overview

Maxima — parent company of Pro Standard — is hiring an SEO Coordinator to execute on-page SEO, technical SEO, and site search optimization across our Shopify storefronts. You’ll partner with our Senior Ecommerce Specialist on priorities and work alongside AI tools that handle keyword research, technical audits, and content strategy. Your job is to take the recommendations and ship them — clean, consistent, and at scale across thousands of product pages.

Working Hours Detail

This role works standard IST daytime hours. Your manager (the Senior Ecommerce Specialist) is based in Mexico — the time difference is similar to working with US East. Most communication is async with a structured weekly sync. No US night shifts required.

What You’ll Own

• On-page SEO across product, collection, and content pages — title tags, meta descriptions, H1/H2 structure, internal linking, image alt text, URL structure.

• Technical SEO across the Shopify storefronts — schema markup, Core Web Vitals, sitemap maintenance, hreflang for international sites, redirects, canonical tags, crawlability.

• Content briefs to the team — content gap analysis, hub page strategy, internal linking maps.

• Site search optimization — search bar tuning, no-results page improvements, synonym rules, surfacing the right products for the right queries.

• SEO reporting and monitoring — Google Search Console daily, GA4 organic weekly, ranking tracking on priority keywords.

• Cross-functional partnership with Paid (sharing keyword/intent intel) and Brand (content topic alignment).

• Documentation of SEO standards, schema patterns, and on-page templates.

Mindset for the Role

SEO is a long game, and we’re looking for someone who:

• Is patient with results — small fixes compound over months and years, not days.

• Is rigorous about implementation — schema markup is either right or wrong, there’s no in-between.

• Thinks systematically about thousands of pages, not just the homepage.

• Reads search query data with curiosity — what people search reveals what they want.

• Stays current on Google algorithm updates and has a clear sense of what matters vs. what’s noise.

• Documents reasoning so the team can build on the work over time.

Working With AI

Maxima uses AI tools that handle keyword research, technical audits, and content strategy at a scale a human can’t match. Your role is to take those outputs, validate them, and execute. We’re looking for someone who treats AI as a teammate that surfaces priorities, and who applies their own judgment on what to ship and how.

Required Experience

• 2-4 years hands-on SEO at an ecommerce brand.

• Comfortable with Google Search Console, GA4, and SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog).

• Knows schema markup and can implement it in Shopify (or eager to learn).

• Strong written English — clear briefing of AI tools depends on it.

• Comfortable working with AI tools daily.

Nice to Have

• Shopify-specific SEO experience.

• International SEO experience — hreflang, geo-specific content, multi-language.

• Apparel, sports, or streetwear category exposure.

• Bilingual Spanish for content review on Mexican market.
