About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Developer with expertise in WordPress and Shopify platforms to join our remote team in India. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and optimizing websites that are not only visually appealing but also highly performant and SEO-friendly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end technologies, with a keen eye for detail, performance, and user experience. You will collaborate closely with our SEO and design teams to implement technical solutions that enhance website functionality, speed, and search engine rankings.

This is a full-time position with immediate onboarding, primarily focusing on building scalable and responsive websites, implementing technical SEO best practices, and ensuring optimal website performance. As part of our remote team, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere within India, contributing to a fast-paced environment that values results and innovation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 4+ years of experience in front-end development, specifically working with WordPress and Shopify platforms. Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a working knowledge of Liquid (Shopify) and PHP (WordPress) are essential. Proven experience in implementing technical SEO strategies, structured data, and website performance optimization is required. Familiarity with Core Web Vitals, website migration processes, analytics setup, and CMS optimization is also necessary. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to balance design aesthetics, user experience, performance, and SEO considerations seamlessly.

Responsibilities

• Website Development & Customisation
• Build, customise, and optimise WordPress websites and Shopify themes utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Liquid.
• Develop responsive product pages, service pages, collection pages, landing pages, and blog templates optimized for SEO and conversions.
• Implement custom functionalities through WordPress plugins, custom fields, Shopify APIs, metafields, and third-party integrations.
• Create scalable, maintainable, and reusable code structures to facilitate future updates and enhancements.
• Ensure all websites adhere to clean coding standards, accessibility guidelines, and responsive design principles.
• Performance & Speed Optimisation
• Enhance Core Web Vitals by optimizing assets, lazy-loading images, and minimizing render-blocking scripts.
• Apply minification techniques for CSS and JavaScript, compress media files, and leverage caching strategies to improve load times.
• Manage CDN integrations such as Cloudflare to ensure fast and reliable content delivery.
• Conduct regular performance audits to maintain speed benchmarks and improve user experience.
• Technical SEO Implementation
• Develop SEO-friendly website structures with appropriate meta tags, schema markup, and internal linking strategies.
• Implement structured data for products, reviews, FAQs, breadcrumbs, and articles to enhance search visibility.
• Identify and resolve crawl errors, canonical issues, and indexation problems across platforms.
• Ensure URLs, redirects, and XML sitemaps comply with SEO best practices, especially during site migrations.
• Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
• Collaborate with design and SEO teams to execute A/B testing on key landing pages and templates.
• Implement CRO features such as sticky CTAs, quick add-to-cart options, enhanced product sections, and exit-intent popups.
• Optimize mobile-first UX to maximize engagement and conversion rates across devices.
• Analytics & Tracking
• Set up and validate tracking tools including GA4, Google Search Console, and Microsoft Clarity.
• Support technical audits using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog, and implement necessary fixes based on insights.
• Assist in preparing comprehensive performance and technical health reports for clients.
• Blog & Content Template Enhancements
• Ensure blog templates are optimized for SEO, fast-loading, and structured for schema-rich results.
• Integrate related products, internal links, and calls-to-action to drive conversions from content pages.
• Support content teams by improving layout, UX, and page design to increase user engagement.
