About The Role
We are looking for a creative and platform-savvy Social Media Executive – YouTube Specialist to lead and scale our YouTube presence through engaging, trend-driven, and performance-oriented content. The ideal candidate should understand YouTube culture, audience behavior, storytelling, thumbnails, titles, retention hooks, and short-form content strategy.
This role will focus on growing YouTube organically through strong content planning, execution, and optimization while ensuring all content aligns with the brand’s voice and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute YouTube content strategy across long-form videos, Shorts, and platform-native formats.
- Research trends, viral formats, creator styles, and audience behavior to identify content opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams, creators, editors, and agencies for smooth execution of shoots and content delivery.
- Write engaging video concepts, hooks, titles, descriptions, and thumbnail directions.
- Track YouTube analytics including CTR, retention, watch time, subscribers, and engagement metrics.
- Optimize content performance based on insights and trends.
- Build content calendars and ensure timely publishing.
- Work closely with the brand and performance marketing teams to align content with business goals.
- Stay updated with YouTube algorithm changes, trends, and best practices.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in social media/content roles with strong exposure to YouTube.
- Strong understanding of YouTube content ecosystems, Shorts culture, and audience psychology.
- Ability to identify trends and convert them into brand-relevant content.
- Good understanding of video storytelling, pacing, hooks, and retention strategies.
- Familiarity with YouTube Studio and analytics tools.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Experience working with creators, agencies, or production teams is a plus.
- Interest in content, internet culture, memes, and digital storytelling.
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of editing and thumbnail aesthetics.
- Experience handling creator collaborations or IP-led content.
- Knowledge of performance-driven content strategies.
- Understanding of Instagram Reels and cross-platform content adaptation.
