Softobiz – Technology Lead Architect – React.js/Node.js Full Time NEW

We are building a next-generation healthcare platform (EMR, Patient Intake, Admin Systems, and Analytics-driven workflows) and are looking for a Technology Architect who can take end-to-end ownership of system design, scalability, and production reliability.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will work closely with Engineering, Product, Analytics, and Business teams to design systems that directly influence patient experience, conversion, and operational efficiency.

This role is not limited to high-level design you are expected to drive execution, solve real-world problems, and ensure production success.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End System Design & Ownership :
• Design and evolve scalable, reliable systems supporting patient-facing and internal workflows.
• Define architecture patterns, service boundaries, and communication strategies across the platform.
• Ensure systems are built with a strong focus on performance, resiliency, and maintainability.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Workflow & Product Architecture :
• Design complex, multi-step user journeys such as patient intake flows and onboarding experiences.
• Build flexible systems capable of handling dynamic workflows, conditional logic, and state-driven interactions.
• Ensure seamless user experience even in failure scenarios or partial system outages.
• Data & Insights Enablement :
• Enable accurate tracking of user journeys and business-critical events across the platform.
• Design systems that support analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
• Work closely with analytics teams to ensure data consistency, traceability, and usability for dashboards and insights.
• Platform Reliability & Production Readiness :
• Define and implement strategies for system stability, fault tolerance, and graceful degradation.
• Ensure readiness for production environments, including deployment strategies, rollback mechanisms, and environment configurations.
• Drive improvements in monitoring, alerting, and debugging capabilities.
• Integration & External Systems Handling :
• Architect integrations with external platforms such as providers, partners, and third-party services.
• Ensure reliable handling of asynchronous workflows, event-driven processes, and external dependencies.
• Design mechanisms for retry handling, idempotency, and failure recovery.
• Performance & Scalability :
• Identify bottlenecks across the system and implement optimizations for speed and efficiency.
• Design solutions that can scale with increasing user traffic and business growth.
• Implement caching, load handling, and efficient data access strategies.
• Security & Compliance :
• Ensure systems are designed with strong data protection and secure access patterns.
• Handle sensitive data responsibly with appropriate safeguards.
• Align architecture with healthcare and data privacy standards.
• Engineering Excellence & Governance :
• Define and enforce best practices for system design, coding standards, and reviews.
• Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
• Mentor engineers and guide teams in building scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Drive improvements in engineering maturity, quality, and delivery predictability.

Tools & Technologies

• Core Development: JavaScript / TypeScript, Next.js / React, Node.js (REST / GraphQL / tRPC).
• Data & Analytics: Google Tag Manager (GTM), Segment, Mixpanel, Google Analytics 4, Google BigQuery.
• Cloud & Deployment: AWS / GCP / Azure, Vercel, GitHub Actions.
• Backend & Storage: PostgreSQL, Prisma, Redis, Trigger.dev.
• Integrations & Payments: APIs & Webhooks, Stripe.
• Monitoring & Observability: Sentry, Datadog.
• Collaboration & Tools: Jira, Confluence, Figma.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in designing and building scalable web platforms and distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of modern web technologies and backend systems.
• Experience working with event-driven systems, APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and deployment pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, tracking systems, and analytics integration.
• Proven ability to handle production systems at scale.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on real-world scenarios.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in healthcare, EMR, or regulated domains.
• Exposure to growth platforms, analytics tracking, or conversion optimization systems.
• Familiarity with modern tools and frameworks used in scalable product development.
