Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Software QA Engineer role Remote.Manual testing .The Software QA Engineer (3+ years of experience) will design, execute, and maintain test cases and test plans for web and mobile applications, ensuring software quality across releases. The role includes performing manual testing, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and refine acceptance criteria. The engineer will participate in regression testing, smoke testing, and integration testing, as well as contribute to test process improvements, test documentation, and quality metrics. The position may also involve working with development teams to understand architecture and workflows, support user acceptance testing, and ensure that releases meet quality standards before deployment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Software Quality, Quality Assurance, and Software Quality Assurance, with the ability to define and uphold quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with Manual Testing, including test case design, execution, defect reporting, and regression testing for web and/or mobile applications.
- Understanding of Software Development concepts, SDLC, and agile methodologies to collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a QA or Software Testing role, preferably in product-based or fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar) and experience writing clear, reproducible defect reports.
- Exposure to test automation concepts or tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar) is a plus, even if primary focus is manual testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple test cycles.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams and a hybrid work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
