ROLE OVERVIEW 

The Solution Designer & Technical Support Specialist at Vagus Energy will be responsible for designing tailored renewable energy solutions and providing technical support across residential and commercial projects. The role involves preparing solar PV, battery storage, EV charger, and other new energy system designs, while also supporting customers, sales teams, installers, and technicians with technical queries, troubleshooting, documentation, and project-related support.

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy systems
• Ability to read, understand, and translate technical specifications into practical system designs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work with CRM systems, MS SharePoint, and design tools.
• Own laptop/computer, mobile phone, and other necessary equipment for a suitable remote working environment.

Desirable

• Experience using solar design platforms such as Pylon or similar tools.
• Previous experience in solar, renewable energy, electrical design, or technical support.
• Understanding of Australian solar industry standards, state/national regulatory guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Experience handling customer or installer technical queries via phone, email, or support systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Renewable Energy System Design

• Analyse customer requirements and recommend suitable renewable energy solutions.
• Assess energy needs, site conditions, shading, space, and electrical limitations.
• Prepare optimized solar PV and battery storage designs using Pylon and relevant tools.
• Ensure proposed designs are practical, compliant, and aligned with project requirements.

2. Technical Product Support and Troubleshooting

• Understand equipment options, product specifications, and suitability for each project.
• Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, installers, and technicians.
• Assist with system start-up, commissioning, inverter, battery, and solar PV queries.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions or repairs.

3. Customer, Sales, and Internal Team Coordination

• Work closely with the sales team to support proposals and project requirements.
• Gather customer feedback and market insights to support business direction.
• Share technical knowledge with the wider team for learning and development.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout the project process.

4. Documentation, Reporting, and Process Improvement

• Maintain accurate records in CRM, MS SharePoint, and other required platforms.
• Prepare and update technical documents, procedures, manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide daily or weekly reports to management as required.
• Support process improvements within solution design and technical support functions.

5. Compliance and Industry Knowledge

• Keep updated with state and national renewable energy regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure designs and recommendations meet technical and compliance requirements.
• Attend meetings, seminars, product updates, and training sessions as needed.
• Provide product and market feedback and perform other duties assigned by management.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 – ₹35,000.00 per month
