Job Responsibilities

The ALM system engineer position is responsible for running the basis system of global used ALM systems. The system engineer will work in a global environment and support the system with professional knowledge hand in hand with external partners and the GIT internal infrastructure team. He will be the main contact for the entire service.

Major Responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining of ALM systems like: PTC RVnS, PTC Codebeamer, IBM Jazz
• Take care of reliable performing service availability to our global internal customers
• Resolve basis issues with the system/services based on an SLA
• Take care of security for the service (support patch updates, user management, auth. management)
• Run minor and major updates to the system
• Support users in 2nd and 3rd level
• Coordinate maintenance of the systems with the customer
• Support in functional extensions (customizing)

Knowledge and Education

• Completion of community college diploma/certificate
• Computer Science or another technical related degree recommended

Skills And Competencies

• General IT Knowledge (SW, HW, Networks)
• Good knowledge of Windows OS, Linux OS
• Knowledge of SQL or other DB systems
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
• Very good English knowledge in spoken and written
• Team spirit, good communication skills, high social competence and resilience
• High degree of personal responsibility, dedication & responsibility
• For male applicants: civilian or military service completed as far as possible
