Clinical Recruiter Team Lead
A Clinical Recruiter Team Lead oversees a team of clinical recruiters responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing healthcare professionals across the U.S. This leader recruits directly while also training, coaching, and developing team members. They monitor performance using KPIs, optimize workflows in LaborEdge/Nexus ATS, and ensure exceptional delivery for Rose International’s Clinical clients.
Role Purpose:
The Team Lead ensures the recruiting team consistently meets hiring goals, maintains high-quality candidate pipelines, and delivers a strong client experience. They act as the bridge between recruiters, account managers, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Development
• Train new and existing clinical recruiters on sourcing strategies, compliance, credentialing workflows, and ATS best practices.
• Conduct weekly 1:1s focused on performance, pipeline health, and skill development.
• Provide real-time coaching on candidate engagement, negotiation, and closing strategies.
• Assist with creating and maintaining SOPs, playbooks, and training materials for the clinical recruiting team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
2. Recruiting Execution
• Actively source and recruit for high-priority or hard-to-fill clinical roles.
• Build strong pipelines of RNs, LPNs, allied health professionals, and specialized clinicians.
• Conduct candidate interviews, skills assessments, and reference checks.
• Partner with credentialing teams to ensure compliance and timely onboarding.
• Maintain expert-level proficiency in LaborEdge/Nexus to model best practices for the team.
3. Performance Management & KPIs
Use KPIs to keep the team at peak performance, such as:
• Submittals per recruiter per week
• Interviews scheduled
• Offers extended / offers accepted
• Time-to-fill
• Pipeline activity (new candidates, follow-ups, re-engagement)
• ATS data accuracy and utilization
• Client satisfaction and fill rate
Responsibilities include:
• Monitoring dashboards and reporting trends to leadership.
• Identifying performance gaps and implementing targeted coaching.
• Recognizing high performers and reinforcing successful behaviors.
• Ensuring recruiters maintain clean, accurate, and timely ATS documentation.
4. ATS & Workflow Optimization (LaborEdge/Nexus)
• Serve as the team’s subject-matter expert for LaborEdge/Nexus.
• Train recruiters on job posting, candidate tracking, compliance workflows, and reporting.
• Audit ATS usage to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with operations to streamline processes and reduce bottlenecks.
• Recommend enhancements to improve recruiter efficiency.
5. Client Support & Collaboration
• Partner with Rose International Clinical account managers to understand client needs, priorities, and hiring forecasts.
• Ensure the recruiting team delivers high-quality candidates aligned with client expectations.
• Participate in client calls when needed to provide updates or address escalations.
• Track client-specific KPIs and ensure service-level agreements are met.
Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of clinical recruiting, healthcare staffing, and credentialing requirements.
• Proven success as a recruiter with the ability to coach others.
• Expertise in LaborEdge/Nexus.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret KPIs and drive performance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong relationship-building skills with candidates, team members, and clients.
Experience & Qualifications
• 3–5+ years of clinical recruiting experience (travel nursing, allied health, per diem, or locums).
• Prior leadership, mentorship, or team lead experience preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare staffing compliance (JCAHO, credentialing, onboarding).
• Experience supporting national clients or high-volume staffing programs.
