TECHNICAL ENGINEER – Wintel Administration Full Time

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Wintel L3 Administrator with a strong background in VMware to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of hands-on experience in Wintel administration and virtualization technologies. This role requires a deep understanding of Windows server environments, VMware infrastructure, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Windows server environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Administer VMware infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of virtual machines.
• Monitor system performance and implement necessary upgrades and patches.
• Provide Level 3 support for Wintel-related incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement server solutions that meet business needs.
• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Wintel and virtualization.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in Wintel administration, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
• Strong expertise in VMware technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019).
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with storage solutions (SAN, NAS) and backup technologies.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
• Certifications such as MCSE, VCP, or equivalent are a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Wintel administration and VMware management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
