Company Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Textile Engineer to act as our technical and operational representative on the ground across various mill units in Maharashtra.

The Role

This is a high-responsibility, hybrid role that blends technical textile engineering with operational management. You will be the primary link between the company headquarters and the manufacturing units, ensuring that production targets are met, quality is uncompromised, and financial reporting is accurate.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Oversight

• Supervise daily production activities across multiple spinning units to ensure alignment with company targets.
• Develop and implement production schedules to optimize machine utilization and labor efficiency.
• Troubleshoot technical issues on the floor to minimize downtime.

2. Supply Chain & Dispatch Management

• Plan and monitor raw material (cotton) consumption to prevent wastage or stock-outs.
• Coordinate the seamless dispatch of finished yarn to clients, ensuring all documentation is in order.
• Conduct regular inventory audits of raw materials and finished goods.

3. Financial & Account Oversight

• Maintain oversight of unit-level cash flow and operational expenses.
• Ensure accurate recording of accounts related to job-work charges and local procurement.
• Report daily financial summaries and production costs to the central management team.

4. Quality Control & Technical Expertise

• Evaluate cotton quality based on parameters such as staple length, mic, strength, and trash content.
• Ensure the yarn produced meets specific grade requirements and customer expectations.

5. Site Representation & Coordination

• Maintain a consistent physical presence at various mill premises in Maharashtra.
• Act as the official representative of Platinum Arcade in joint-management meetings with mill owners and staff.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Degree or Diploma in Textile Engineering or Textile Technology.
• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in a spinning mill environment (Cotton spinning preferred).
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of cotton fiber parameters and the spinning process.
• Functional Skills: Basic knowledge of accounting principles and cash flow management.
• Travel: Must be open to frequent travel and staying at different mill locations within Maharashtra.
• Communication: Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is highly preferred for effective ground-level coordination.
