The HSR Centre of Smiles Institute of Gastroenterology focuses on advanced colorectal and digestive disease care, including piles, fistula, fissure, IBS, constipation, endoscopy and related surgical services.

Reporting To

Founder & Medical Director / Chief Operating Officer

Purpose of the Role

To lead the HSR Centre as a high-performing clinical and business unit, ensuring excellent patient outcomes, operational efficiency, growth, quality standards, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical Operations

• Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the centre.
• Monitor OPD, procedures, surgeries and diagnostic services.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, surgeons, nursing and allied health teams.

2. Business Growth

• Achieve monthly revenue, EBITDA and patient volume targets.
• Increase OPD footfalls, procedures and surgeries.
• Develop referral networks with family physicians, gastroenterologists and corporate partners.
• Support outreach programs and community awareness initiatives.

3. Patient Experience

• Maintain patient satisfaction above defined benchmarks.
• Ensure timely consultations, admissions and discharge processes.
• Resolve patient grievances promptly.
• Promote a culture of compassionate care.

4. Team Leadership

• Lead doctors, nurses, administrators and support staff.
• Conduct regular performance reviews.
• Recruit, train and retain high-performing employees.
• Build a culture aligned with Smiles values.

5. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure NABH and statutory compliance requirements are met.
• Monitor infection control and safety standards.
• Conduct quality audits and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure ethical medical practices.

6. Marketing & Brand Building

• Support founder-led and doctor-led content initiatives.
• Coordinate local digital marketing campaigns.
• Organize camps, CME programs and awareness events.
• Strengthen Smiles’ leadership position in colorectal and digestive care.

7. Financial Management

• Manage centre budget and cost controls.
• Monitor profitability and productivity metrics.
• Improve utilization of equipment and manpower.
• Submit monthly performance reports.

Qualifications

• MBBS / BDS / Allied Health / Hospital Administration graduate.
• MBA (Healthcare) or MHA preferred.
• 8–15 years of healthcare management experience.
• Experience managing a specialty clinic, hospital unit, or healthcare network.
