Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced US Virtual Assistant with a strong background in Medical Insurance Verification and Prior Authorization processes. The ideal candidate will support US healthcare providers by managing insurance-related tasks, obtaining authorizations, coordinating with insurance companies, and ensuring accurate documentation to facilitate timely patient care and reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification for patients.
• Process and follow up on prior authorization requests with insurance payers.
• Communicate with insurance companies to obtain approvals, status updates, and required documentation.
• Review patient records and medical documentation to support authorization submissions.
• Track authorization requests and maintain accurate records in the system.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, clinics, and patients regarding authorization requirements.
• Handle claim-related inquiries and assist in resolving insurance denials.
• Update patient information and insurance details in EMR/EHR systems.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
• Prepare reports and maintain productivity and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in US healthcare processes.
• Hands-on experience in Insurance Verification and Prior Authorization.
• Strong understanding of US medical insurance, payer guidelines, and authorization workflows.
• Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and healthcare portals.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook.
