Vice President of Technology Full Time

Role Description As the Vice President of Technology at Winton Capital US LLC, you will lead the design, implementation, and governance of the firm’s technology platforms and infrastructure. In this full-time remote role, you will oversee engineering, infrastructure, and application teams, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with business and research priorities. You will define and execute IT strategy, partner with senior leadership to support trading and investment initiatives, and drive technology roadmaps that enhance performance and reliability. Daily responsibilities include managing complex technology projects, setting and monitoring KPIs, overseeing vendor and cloud relationships, and ensuring robust cybersecurity and compliance practices. You will also mentor technical leaders, foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, and communicate technology priorities clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data, assess trade-offs, and make evidence-based technology decisions.
• Deep expertise in information technology, including modern infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
• Proven experience in IT strategy and strategic planning, with a track record of aligning technology roadmaps with business and investment objectives.
• Advanced project management capabilities, including overseeing multi-team initiatives, managing budgets and timelines, and delivering high-impact technology solutions.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing diverse, distributed technology teams in a high-performance environment.
• Background in financial services, asset management, or a similarly data-intensive, regulated sector is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executives, researchers, and operations teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., cloud, security, PMP) are a plus.
