Data Quality Expert

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Data Quality Expert will be instrumental in ensuring high-quality data standards within the Client Enterprise Data Program. This role focuses on data profiling, defining and enforcing data quality rules, managing data cleansing backlogs, and configuring Attaccama ONE for Master Data Management (MDM) and Reference Data Management (RDM). By collaborating with the Data Governance Lead, domain stewards, and the Data Foundation team, the DQ Expert will ensure data integrity and consistency while delivering clear and actionable insights to support decision-making. As a contract-based offshore role, effective remote communication and collaboration are essential.

Role Description
The Data Quality Expert oversees the profiling, cleansing, and governance of data within the Client Enterprise Data Program. As a technical yet business-facing professional, the DQ Expert bridges the gap between complex data management activities and stakeholder communication. The role emphasizes data quality rule enforcement, data cleansing backlog management, and advanced configuration of Attaccama ONE. Operating on a contract basis as an offshore resource, the DQ Expert plays a crucial role in empowering the organization with reliable and accurate data insights.

• Design and execute data profiling at Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers within Microsoft Fabric for HR, Finance, Procurement, and Digital domains.
• Collaborate with domain stewards to define, implement, and enforce data quality (DQ) rules, such as accuracy, completeness, and consistency standards.
• Conduct profiling using tools like Attaccama ONE for Gold layer data and Python/PySpark for other data transformations within pipelines.
• Prepare understandable and actionable data quality reports, highlighting issues, affected records, root causes, and business impact of data inaccuracies.

· Facilitate stakeholder working sessions (e.g., Session 0), explaining technical findings in accessible, non-technical language to domain stewards.

• Create, maintain, and prioritize data cleansing backlogs, offering detailed issue descriptions and collaboration with relevant teams for implementation of improvements.
• Ensure PII data handling complies with UAE PDPL, GDPR, and EDP-STD-002 standards, maintaining robust audit trails and minimal access to sensitive information.
• Configure Attaccama ONE for MDM tasks such as golden record deduplication, entity matching, and survivorship rule definition.
• Develop and maintain data quality dashboards and scorecards in Power BI, integrating them with metrics from Attaccama ONE for oversight by the DG Council.
• Coordinate regularly with the Data Foundation team regarding pipeline issues, bug fixes, and technical improvements within the data governance ecosystem.
• Document every configuration, profiling report, DQ rule, and process for continuity and handover at the end of the contract term.

· Support the DG Council with monthly reports, DQ metrics updates, and cleansing status briefs for ARCC reports.

RELATIONSHIIPS, FREQUENCY OF INTERACTION:

Internal (Will follow governance cadence)

• Daily synchronization meetings with the Data Governance Lead for progress updates and issue resolution.
• Weekly meetings with the Data Foundation Manager to align on pipeline fixes and technical coordination.
• Regular presentations of profiling reports and findings during domain steward working sessions (e.g., Session 0).
• Monthly DQ updates prepared for DG Council and ARCC reporting

External

• Ad hoc collaboration with external compliance teams to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards like UAE PDPL and GDPR.

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Contract-based offshore role with daily virtual communication and responsiveness to time zones of the core team and stakeholders.
• Work remotely in close collaboration with the Data and AI team while following clear communication protocols with internal stakeholders.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of technical deliverables, reports, and DQ dashboards.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation that includes configurations, profiling details, and cleansing backlog updates.
• Engage in proactive interactions with business stakeholders, ensuring their needs and feedback are prioritized while adhering to governance frameworks.
• Expertise in data profiling, data quality assessment, and issue resolution in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in tools like Attaccama ONE, Microsoft Fabric, and Python or PySpark for data profiling and DQ rule definition.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical data quality findings into non-technical language for business stakeholders.
• Experience in drafting clear and concise technical documentation for processes, configurations, and DQ rules.
• Familiarity with data quality standards, governance frameworks, and privacy regulations such as UAE PDPL and GDPR.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RELEVANT ROLES/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data profiling, data quality management, or data engineering within enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Attaccama ONE and Microsoft Fabric for data profiling and governance processes.
• Proven experience in managing cleansing backlogs and generating detailed profiling reports for business stakeholders.
• Advanced Python or PySpark scripting skills for distributed data profiling tasks within Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of Medallion architecture and creating DQ scorecards / dashboards in Power BI.
• Certified or advanced experience in Attaccama ONE and familiarity with MDM and RDM configurations.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP or other large-scale data sources is preferred.

Pay: ₹142,950.00 – ₹190,600.00 per month
