GST Accountant Full Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with hands-on experience in GST compliance, return filing, and reconciliation. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of indirect taxation, good analytical skills, and the ability to manage end-to-end GST processes efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2A/2B reconciliation) on a timely basis
• Perform GST reconciliation between books and returns, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with GST laws and maintain proper documentation
• Handle input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation and tracking
• Assist in GST audits, notices, and departmental queries
• Maintain accurate accounting records related to GST transactions
• Coordinate with internal teams for data validation and reporting
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com preferred)
• 1.5 to 3 years of relevant experience in GST filing and reconciliation
• Strong knowledge of GST laws, compliance, and return filing
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Experience in handling GST notices and audits
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally etc.)
• Basic knowledge of direct taxation is a plus
