About the Role
IIM SKILLS is looking for a motivated SEO Intern to join our digital marketing team.
The selected candidate will primarily work on link building and off-page SEO activities to improve website rankings through ethical SEO practices. This opportunity is ideal for freshers or students looking to gain practical, hands-on experience in SEO and digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform link-building activities to improve website authority
• Identify relevant websites for guest posting and backlink opportunities
• Create and submit links on:
– Business listing platforms
– Classified submission websites
– Social bookmarking sites
– Profile creation websites
• Reach out to bloggers and website owners for backlink collaboration
• Track backlinks and maintain weekly reports in Excel/Google Sheets
• Follow white-hat SEO practices aligned with Google guidelines
• Assist the SEO team with additional off-page SEO tasks as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Basic understanding of SEO and link-building concepts
• Familiarity with terms like backlinks, anchor text, DA/PA
• Basic knowledge of tools such as:
– Google Search Console
– Ahrefs / SEMrush (preferred)
• Good written communication skills for email outreach
• Strong willingness to learn and work consistently
• SEO certification is a plus (not mandatory)
