Job Description: Embedded Field Application Engineer (FAE) – RKE India

Location: Pan India (North / West / South)

About the Role

We are looking for passionate and driven Embedded FAEs who can own design wins, engage deeply with customers, and drive solution-based selling across fast-growing segments such as EV, Industrial, Automotive, and IoT.

At RK, this is not just a support role—you will own the complete journey from Design-In (DIN) to Design-Win (DWIN).

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Design-In (DIN) and Design-Win (DWIN) for key customer accounts
• Work closely with OEM R&D teams on:
• MCU/MPU selection
• Embedded firmware and debugging
• Hardware design and system-level solutions
• Promote complete BOM solutions: Embedded + Power + Connectivity + Protection
• Engage in key applications:
• EV Chargers (300W–30kW)
• BMS (2S–24S+)
• Motor Control, Smart Metering, Inverters
• Conduct technical discussions, demos, and customer trainings
• Provide technical support on semiconductors (MCUs, power devices, analog, memory, RF, sensors, etc.)
• Review schematics, PCB layouts, and system designs; recommend optimized solutions
• Support design validation, debugging, and ensure reliable system performance
• Stay updated with supplier roadmaps and emerging technologies
• Act as the primary technical interface for customers during evaluation and design phases
• Collaborate with Sales for opportunity identification and qualification
• Drive design wins through effective solution positioning
• Suggest alternates during supply or cost challenges
• Support go-to-market activities (seminars, webinars, product launches)
• Coordinate with suppliers for technical updates and roadmap alignment
• Track project lifecycle from concept to mass production
• Maintain project funnel, DWIN/DIN tracking, and reporting

Key Supplier Engagement

Work closely with global semiconductor leaders such as:

STMicroelectronics, NXP Semiconductors, Nuvoton, Toshiba, ROHM Semiconductor, Etc.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 3–8 years in Embedded / Power FAE / Application Engineering / Embedded R&D / Power Electronics R&D
• Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech (EC, EEE, EI, Embedded Systems, Power Electronics, etc.)

Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on with ARM-based MCUs (STM32, NXP, or similar)
• Embedded C programming
• Protocols: CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, Timers, ADC, DAC, PWM

Knowledge Base:

• Power electronics (DC-DC, AC-DC, PFC, LLC basics)
• EV / BMS / Industrial applications
• Strong customer-facing, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Success Metrics

• Design Wins (DWIN) & Funnel Creation (DIN)
• Customer engagement and technical closures
• Cross-selling across BOM
• End-to-end ownership from concept to production
