Job Description – Paralegal (Contracts & In-House Legal)
Meditab is seeking a Paralegal to support its in-house Legal team, with a primary focus on contract drafting, review, and commercial legal support. This role is best suited for candidates with prior in-house experience, particularly in handling contracts within a fast-paced business environment. The candidate must possess a strong, demonstrable foundation in core legal concepts and critical legal reasoning abilities from their admitted jurisdiction. Having exposure to U.S. law or the healthcare industry (including HIPAA) is an advantage, it is not a prerequisite. This role is non-litigation focused.
Key Requirements:
· Proven experience of foundational legal concepts and ability to perform substantive contract analysis and redlining, identifying legal and commercial risks in a practical, business-oriented manner
· Strong experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation support
· Prior in-house legal experience
· Exposure to technology, SaaS, or healthcare industry (preferred)
· High level of precision, attention to detail, and professionalism
· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Exceptional attention to detail and impeccable precision, as evidenced by high aptitude test scores and flawless submission quality (including spelling and grammar)
· High level of professionalism and strict adherence to all process instructions (e.g., mandatory use of MS Word’s “Track Changes” feature for all edits and comments).
· Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate strong stress tolerance.
· Must be willing to work full-time from the Ahmedabad office if hired
Education:
– Bachelor’s degree in law from a reputed college (mandatory)
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Draft, review, and revise a wide range of commercial contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, vendor agreements, and customer agreements
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders (sales, operations, compliance, etc.) to support contract execution and closure timelines
· Identify legal and commercial risks in contracts and provide practical, business-oriented recommendations
· Maintain and manage contract lifecycle processes, including tracking, version control, and repository management
· Support compliance and regulatory requirements by updating templates and processes as needed
· Assist in corporate documentation and regulatory filings, including licenses and entity-related records
· Conduct legal research and prepare concise summaries or notes for internal use
· Assist in responding to client/legal queries and documentation requests
· Support implementation and adherence to internal policies and standard contracting practices
