About the Role
At Sciverse, the Production Quality Technician will play a critical role in ensuring that all products manufactured at our contract manufacturing (CM) partners meet defined quality standards before dispatch. This is a hands-on, shop-floor and field-based role, requiring close coordination with vendors and strong practical inspection skills across electronics and mechanical assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production and assembly at the contract manufacturing site
- Check whether products are built as per approved drawings, BOM, and checklists
- Inspect soldering quality, wiring, connectors, PCB mounting, and overall workmanship
- Inspect mechanical assembly, fitment, alignment, screws, brackets, enclosure, and finishing
- Support electrical checks, basic testing, and final inspection
- Verify labels, serial numbers, accessories, and packing before dispatch
- Recheck reworked units and ensure defects are properly closed
- Fill inspection reports, QC records, and dispatch clearance reports
- Coordinate with CM/vendor team to resolve quality issues before shipment
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma in Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Instrumentation / Production
- ITI with strong relevant experience can also be considered
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in production quality, final inspection, electronics assembly, electromechanical products, or vendor quality
- Good understanding of production quality inspection
- Ability to read basic electrical and mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of soldering quality and wiring inspection
- Understanding of mechanical assembly and fitment checks
- Basic use of multimeter and inspection tools
- Ability to identify assembly defects, loose connections, poor workmanship, and missing parts
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Strong follow-up and coordination with vendor/manufacturing team
- Attention to detail and practical problem-solving approach
- Willingness to work at contract manufacturing/vendor site
Good to Have
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, instrumentation, medical devices, diagnostic devices, automation products, or electromechanical assembly
