Role Summary
The candidate will lead end-to-end creative design for the Undergraduate (UG) outreach team, delivering compelling, brand-aligned visuals across digital, print, and experiential formats. The role demands strong visual storytelling, the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects under tight timelines, and effective coordination with vendors, freelancers, and internal teams. The role also carries responsibility for mentoring junior designers and building a high-performing, process-oriented design culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Creative Design & Delivery
• Translate marketing goals into impactful, conversion-oriented creatives across digital, social, email, and events.
• Lead execution of multi-channel campaigns, ensuring strong storytelling and audience alignment.
• Own end-to-end delivery of all creative assets — ads, brochures, presentations, and event collaterals.
• Adhere to defined SLAs for creative turnaround and ensure speed, quality, and consistency through structured workflows, clear prioritisation, and disciplined review cycles.
• Partner with outreach teams to improve campaign performance through design.
• Manage vendors and freelancers to deliver high-quality outputs at scale.
2. Brand Compliance & Project Delivery
• Act as the custodian of the brand, ensuring strong visual identity and consistency across all touchpoints.
• Define and enforce brand guidelines across digital, print, merchandise, and experiential formats.
• Elevate the overall look, feel, and storytelling quality of university communication.
• Proactively identify opportunities to refresh and modernise brand expression in line with evolving audience expectations.
3. Team Leadership & Design Culture
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of designers, building a high-quality, feedback-driven creative culture.
• Conduct regular design critiques and capability-building sessions to elevate team output.
• Set clear performance expectations and ensure consistent quality benchmarks across all outputs.
• Build internal capability to reduce dependency while strategically leveraging external talent.
4. Performance Measurement and Continuous Improvement
• Track and improve creative effectiveness through defined metrics (engagement, conversion, turnaround time, stakeholder satisfaction).
• Identify and drive process improvements and automation to enhance speed, quality, and scalability of output.
• Introduce new tools, formats, and ways of working to keep the function future-ready and AI-enabled.
Candidate Profile
• Graduate/Postgraduate in Communication, Graphic Design, or a related creative discipline, with 10–15 years of relevant experience in the education and/or marketing communications domain.
• Strong portfolio showcasing multi-channel creative work across digital, print, social, and experiential formats.
• High proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) with a solid understanding of platform-specific creative requirements (Meta, Google, LinkedIn).
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines, with strong execution discipline and attention to quality.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, and freelancers, ensuring seamless delivery at scale.
• Demonstrated capability in mentoring teams, upholding brand standards, and driving continuous improvement in design quality and processes.10–15 years of design experience, ideally within the education and marketing communications domain.

• Functional Interview: Deep-dive with Marketing & Communications leadership to evaluate creative strategy, execution rigour, and stakeholder management.
• Leadership & Culture Fit: Assessment of team leadership, collaboration style, and alignment with Plaksha values.
• Final Interaction: Discussion with senior leadership on role fit, expectations, and long-term contribution.
