About the Role
We are hiring a Bookkeeper to own the accounting function for a portfolio of 4 to 6 US clients. Each client is a small-to-mid-sized US business from $500K to $5M in annual revenue. Your job is to keep their books clean, close on time every month, and produce financial reports their executives can actually use.
You will work closely with a Delivery Manager who handles all client communication. Your focus is entirely on execution – accurate books, clean reconciliations, on-time close. No client calls required. The Delivery Manager presents your work; you make sure the work is airtight.
What You’ll Own
- Monthly bookkeeping for 4–6 US clients simultaneously – categorization, reconciliation, close
- Monthly invoicing for clients who need it – primarily via QuickBooks Online
- Stripe and payment processor reconciliation – match payouts to QBO accurately every month
- Monthly close – completed by the 5th business day, every month, for every client
- Monthly financial reports – P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement per client
- Cash flow tracking and light projections – flag anything unusual to the Delivery Manager
- Maintain clean, organized books that can withstand a CPA or auditor review at any time
You Must Have
- 3+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably for US-based clients
- QuickBooks Online – strong independent working knowledge, not just basic data entry
- Experience handling multiple clients at the same time – you are organized and never miss a deadline
- Stripe or payment processor reconciliation experience
- Ability to produce clean, management-ready P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
- Strong attention to detail – you catch your own errors before anyone else does
- Available full-time on US business hours
- Good written English for internal communication with the Delivery Manager
Nice to Have
- Experience working for a US-facing BPO, KPO, or accounting outsourcing firm
- Familiarity with SaaS, tech, or subscription-based business models
- B.Com, MBA Finance, CA Inter, or equivalent qualification
- Experience with payroll processing (Gusto, ADP, or similar)
- Exposure to US GAAP basics
What This Role Is NOT
- You will not be on client calls — the Delivery Manager owns all client communication
- This is not a single-client dedicated role — you will manage a portfolio and must stay organized across all of them
- This is not a data-entry-only job — we expect you to think critically about the numbers and flag anomalies proactively
What Success Looks Like at 90 Days
- All client books are clean, current, and reconciled with zero backlogs
- Monthly close is hitting the 5th business day deadline consistently across all clients
- Delivery Manager is never chasing you for reports or updates – you deliver ahead of schedule
- Zero client complaints about financial accuracy
Compensation
