About Modutec

Modutec is India’s most type-tested (IEC 61439, IEC 61641 etc) modular switchboard enclosure system company, flat-pack, switchgear agnostic and enabling panel builders, OEMs, and system integrators to build faster, safer, smarter, and more compliant electrical panels.

With a strong presence in India and growing exports (30% of our revenues presently) across ANZ, Middle East, and Africa, Modutec is on a mission to simplify panel building globally through modular innovation, compliance leadership, and scalable business models.

We have a wide range of product solutions catering to Panel Builders, OEMs, System Integrators, EPCs and Large Industries. We are approved with many Specifiers and this is a continual engagement as much as enhancing our product certification is. 

Role Objective

To drive profitable global growth by building a high-performance sales and marketing engine across:

• Direct enterprise sales
• Distributor networks
• Affiliate/partner ecosystem
• Consultant/specifier engagement

This role will transform Modutec from a high-potential brand into a globally trusted category leader.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue & Market Expansion

• Deliver aggressive yet profitable revenue growth (India + International)
• Expand presence across OEMs, panel builders, EPCs, and large industries
• Drive deeper penetration in key export markets (Presently ANZ, Middle East, Africa)

2. Multi-Channel Sales Leadership

• Build and scale:
• Direct sales & marketing teams
• Switchgear partnerships
• Distributor network
• License partners
• Affiliate marketing ecosystem

• Create structured GTM strategies for each channel

3. Consultant & Specifier Influence

• Develop strong engagement with:
• Electrical consultants
• PMC firms
• Specifiers in commercial & industrial projects

• Drive adoption of:
• IEC 61439 compliance mindset
• Declaration of Conformity culture
• Switchgear-agnostic modular approach

4. Brand & Thought Leadership

• Position Modutec as:
• “The modular alternative to welded panels”
• A compliance-first, globally benchmarked brand

• Lead:
• Digital marketing (LinkedIn-led growth engine)
• Technical content & whitepapers
• Events (Elecrama, ELASIA, global exhibitions)
• Educational marketing – podcasts, YouTube videos
• Interactive website with lead magnets

5. Sales Excellence & Systems

• Implement structured sales processes:
• Enquiry qualification (A/B/C segmentation)
• Conversion funnel optimization
• CRM discipline & forecasting

• Align with MODEST software for 
• Estimation-driven selling
• Engineering the offer into 2D / 3D
• Executing the same with clarity in BOM

6. Strategic Partnerships

• Strengthen relationships with:
• Switchgear OEMs (LS Electric, Mitsubishi, Elmeasure, ABB, Eaton etc.)
• National & International distributors
• Industry associations (COSMA, IEEMA, NFE)

• Identify and onboard global strategic partners

7. Team Building

• Build and mentor a world-class sales & marketing leadership team
• Drive performance culture with clear OKRs, incentives, and accountability
• Work closely across Business functions to ensure scalable growth

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

• 15–25 years in B2B industrial sales/marketing
• Strong exposure to:
• Electrical industry / switchgear / enclosures / Panel Building
• Compliance to IEC 61439 
• Track record of getting product approvals from Specifiers
• Developing and nurturing a Dealer network
• Educational marketing, Digital Media & Branding. 

• Proven track record of scaling multi-channel global businesses

Compensation Structure

1. Fixed Compensation (CTC)

• ₹36 Lakhs per annum

👉 Depends on:

• Depth in electrical switchgear/ switchboard / enclosure products industry
• Global exposure (ANZ / MEA is a big premium)
• Proven experience in scaling ₹50 Cr → ₹150 Cr+ businesses

2. Performance-Linked Variable

• 0.5 to 1% of gross profit (Sales – COGS)

👉 An additional 10% of the incentive earned is paid based on

• 50% tied to Revenue Growth
• 25% tied to Gross Margin
• 15% tied to Channel Development (Distributors / License Partners)
• 10% tied to Strategic Goals (Consultant approvals, branding, exports)

👉 Paid quarterly and based on payment realisation.

3. Long-Term Incentive

Option A: ESOP / Sweat Equity

• 0.5% – 5% equity over 3–5 years
• Vesting linked to:
• Revenue milestones (starting 2026-27 – ₹60 Cr, ₹120 Cr, ₹175 Cr)
• EBITDA thresholds

👉 This can be a game changer for the eligible candidate

Option B: Phantom Stock (if equity not preferred)

• Cash bonus linked to company valuation growth
• Example:
• X% of incremental valuation beyond ₹100 Cr

4. Joining Bonus / Retention Bonus

• ₹12 L staggered retention bonus over 12–24 months
