Background

UniOps Tax Data Centre of Excellence in Unilever is responsible for collection and analysis of Transfer Pricing and Finance Data and performing reviews related to Transfer Pricing. The Team is also responsible for monitoring adherence to the Transfer Pricing Policy and co-development/maintenance of Transfer Pricing related Technology infrastructure along with IT team and maintaining Global Process Model (GPM) and exceptions resolution for Transfer Pricing related issues.

Main Purpose Of Job

The Global Tax function has launched the Operational Transfer Pricing (OTP) Transformation Project under the Digital Finance initiative. As part of the Operational Transfer Pricing project, review of Transfer Pricing Transactions and preparing Reports will be performed under a new Target Operating Model (TOM). The new TOM will involve Transfer Pricing reviews to be performed across Group TP, Tax Business Partners, Country SC & Finance Teams, Tax Operations and 3P Outsource Team.

The purpose of the Team is to perform reviews and analyse the output for a robust Transfer Pricing reporting process.

Key Requirements

• Invoice Monitoring, P&L Segmentation and other Transfer Pricing related processes.
• End to end Management of Transfer Pricing Data with focus on hygiene of master data and transactional data
• Analysis of data and spot inconsistencies with the Transfer Pricing policy.
• Strong understanding of underlying transactions related to Transfer Pricing
• Ensure related controls and compliance are met as per the Unilever control framework
• Closely work with Unilever Group TP Teams, Tax Business Partners & Outsourced Service Providers regarding latest changes/amendments in Transfer Pricing laws across the globe.
• Provide documentation / data support on the audit queries raised with analysis performed
• Archiving of documents of all the Transfer Pricing related activities from Data extraction till Report finalisation in company dedicated folders.
• Provide clarification on the TP data to relevant stakeholders.
• Support in country TP audits by providing adequate documentation / data support/analysis of data
• Ensure that all agreed KPIs are met
• Drive continuous improvement, provide recommendations for a best-in-class process
• Deploy tools and technology to drive process efficiencies & automation.

Technical Skills

• Strong Knowledge of accounting
• Overview of Transfer Pricing
• End user knowledge of SAP (FI module).
• Awareness about Power BI, Tableau and Workflow management tools would be an added advantage.
• Proficient at collecting / querying / consolidating information from accounting / ERP systems.

Soft Skills

• Good in verbal and written communications.
• Should have a positive attitude and should be able to proactively get things done.
• Strong problem solving, and analytical skills
• Good interpersonal Skills – Must have the ability to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels inside and outside of the company.
• Must be a self-starter with proven ability to take ownership of job responsibilities.

Educational Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (CA/CMA) with 1-2 years of experience
• Semi qualified CA with 4-6 years of experience
• Work experience in Accounting (R2R), Finance, prior experience in Transfer Pricing will be an additional advantage.
