The Analyst (m/f/d) is responsible for the design, development and optimization of data sourcing and data bases across different IT systems. This also includes Power BI reporting to support the digitization of financial reporting within DHL Customer Solutions and Innovation and to further automate the monthly financial closing procedure.

The role will include engaging in Business Intelligence projects that contain documentation of business requirements, data modeling, and implementation of automated solutions as well as the coordination of internal and external project resources.

This position specifically supports Data Analytics projects in the area of financial analysis of customer data and building data lakes.

The Analyst (m/f/d) applies First Choice (continuous improvement) methods to develop, recommend, and implement processes and best practices to ensure accuracy and streamlining.

What’s your role:

• Expert knowledge in application environment with various systems (MS Azure, Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Power BI etc.)
• Creating reports, maintaining master data, and working in Business Intelligence projects from initial analysis to implementation and presentation of results
• Increasing the degree of automation of monthly data load and validation by designing, building, testing and deploying data cubes with multifaceted business rules, calculations and key metrics.
• Working with AI supported solutions and applications.
• Ensuring timely and accurate management reporting related to Revenue, Volume, Accounts Receivable and Gross Profit for all CSI Customers across DHL Group business units, on CSI Global, Sector and specific business unit level
• Sustaining expertise in Power BI to solve complex data modeling matters and to create state-of-the-art reporting solutions for Finance and Business Users
• Leading customer divisional mapping and reporting project within CSI and engaging with sales teams on onboarding of further customers
• Providing variance analysis and narratives on key drivers for financial customer performance when necessary
• Working in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders within CSI Finance, CSI Commercial and the different business units to understand business requirements and implement required solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and 2-3 years of experience in related field OR Master Degree and generally 1-2 years of exp. in related field
• Working knowledge of financial and operational KPIs and data structures
• Excellent technical and data modeling skills in Business Intelligence tools like SQL, Azure, Power BI, MS Visual Studio
• Financial Controlling and Analytics skills
• Presentation and communication skills
• Project management skills
• Ability and willingness to work in a truly international team and organization
• Fluent in English is a must
