In its current form, it is one of the most challenging categories from sourcing point of view due to low MOQs, complex styling, value add products and a wide product basket. The varied product range requires sourcing to be done from multiple specialised centres like Bangalore, Delhi & Ludhiana. Also India as a country does not have capability to manufacture certain products, hence there is a need for providing solutions for these through international sourcing – China, Bangladesh & China.
With International players like Zara, H&M and F21 coming into the market there is a constant need for upgrading products and also offer high value to consumers through sharp sourcing costs.
Women’s wear being high on Fashion, job requires solution in terms of providing short lead times and ability to service Closer to Market orders.
