We are looking for a commercially strong and relationship-driven professional to join our Freight Forwarding division as Manager – Ocean Procurement & Network Development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and strengthen overseas agent and partner network across key international trade lanes
- Manage procurement activities related to ocean freight pricing and supply support
- Negotiate competitive freight rates and commercial terms with overseas agents, co-loaders, NVOCCs, and shipping lines
- Build strategic relationships with agents, especially across Asian markets
- Coordinate closely with sales and operations teams to support business growth and customer requirements
- Handle RFQs, spot rates, nominations, and trade lane-specific pricing strategies
- Identify new network opportunities and strengthen KRK’s global forwarding partnerships
- Represent the company at international logistics networking conferences and events including WCA, JC Trans, and other global platforms
- Ensure smooth coordination between overseas partners and internal execution teams
- Support development of nomination and agency business opportunities
Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of experience in ocean freight forwarding, procurement, or network development
- Strong exposure to international freight forwarding operations and commercial processes
- Existing relationships with overseas agents and logistics networks will be an added advantage
- Good understanding of ocean freight market trends, carrier dynamics, and trade lanes
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Self-driven, commercially focused, and growth-oriented mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
