About CottonGuru Group
CottonGuru is a 120+ year-old institution building India’s most advanced sustainable cotton supply chain. Our work sits at the intersection of agriculture, climate, and the global fashion and textile industry — partnering with leading apparel brands to create cotton sourcing programs that are traceable, ethical, and directly accountable to the farmer.
The Group brings together three entities working in lockstep to empower smallholder cotton farmers and transform how the world sources cotton:
Our work is grounded in one idea: move value back to the farmer — sustainably, ethically, and traceably — while giving the world’s leading fashion brands a supply chain they can stand behind.
Role Summary
This is a generalist, high-ownership role for someone who wants to be in the room — working as the CEO’s shadow across the meetings, calls, and conferences that shape CottonGuru Group. Your job is to be the CEO’s force multiplier: take the notes that actually get followed up, chase the follow-ups that actually close, and translate strategy into motion across content, sales, hiring, and special projects.
You will move fluidly between a boardroom conversation with a European fashion brand in the morning, drafting a LinkedIn post over lunch, pulling together a financial model in the afternoon, and chasing down a partner follow-up by evening. You will own the CEO’s external communication surface and be a direct contributor to how CottonGuru shows up in the world.
This role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, finds joy in problem-solving, and is willing to shoulder real responsibility on real-world problems from day one. Above all, we are looking for someone who is dynamic in communication — able to write a newsletter, take sharp notes in a strategy call, draft a buyer follow-up, and hold their own in a farmer-side conversation, adjusting register fluidly across all of them.
