Consultant, Digital Marketing Full Time NEW

• We are seeking a highly experienced Senior WordPress Developer with strong backend development expertise and, ideally, hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure infrastructure for WordPress environments. This role is central to managing, maintaining, and enhancing our global network of WordPress websites, ensuring optimal performance, stability, security, and seamless integrations with enterprise tools such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with deep technical knowledge, able to troubleshoot complex issues, develop new functionalities, manage integrations, and support a wide range of stakeholders across international markets. Key Responsibilities 1. WordPress Technical Support & Development
• Provide senior-level backend WordPress development and technical support across global markets.
• Manage complex coding tasks including custom plugins, theme development, database-level fixes, and backend optimisation.
• Lead installation and troubleshooting of pixels, analytics tags, and third-party tracking codes.
• Maintain and develop advanced integrations (e.g., forms, APIs, CRM workflows).
• Manage and troubleshoot integrations between WordPress and Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
• Oversee application setup, activation, configuration and environment troubleshooting (Azure, Cloudflare, caching layers, firewalls, etc.). 2. BAU (Business-as-Usual) Support & Website Maintenance
• Conduct regular WordPress core updates, plugin updates, and security patches.
• Maintain and update platform components such as: o TinyMCE o Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) o Gravity Forms
• Perform routine site maintenance including database optimisation, backups, and performance tuning.
• Manage WordPress multi-site configurations where applicable. 3. Website Improvements & Feature Development
• Develop new custom widgets, modules, and reusable components.
• Install or modify WordPress themes, including coding advanced theme customisations.
• Build new WordPress features to support campaign or business objectives.
• Deliver UX-related enhancements (e.g., structured data, Core Web Vitals, Google UX changes).
• Implement JavaScript improvements and troubleshoot JS-related issues.
• Support content updates as requested by global and local teams.
• Participate in urgent support and out-of-hours emergency response (optional / agreed in contract).
• Build new websites end-to-end, including theme development and deployment.
• Develop APIs or enhance existing interfaces between WordPress and other platforms (CRM, intranet, external tools). 4. Support for Global IT & Platform Operations
• Collaborate with Global IT to resolve infrastructure issues including: o Cloudflare o Caching layers o Zscaler o Firewall rules o CDN and DNS configurations
• Work within governance frameworks including ServiceNow ticketing for international market support.
• Support global Azure-hosted WordPress environment stability and performance. Required Skills & Experience Technical Expertise
• 5–7+ years of professional experience as a WordPress Developer (backendfocused).
• Strong PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and REST API development skills.
• Proven track record in custom theme and plugin development.
• Experience with Azure-hosted WordPress environments highly preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git versioning, staging/production workflows.
• Strong understanding of site speed optimisation, security hardening, and best practices. Integrations & Tools
• Experience managing WordPress integrations with enterprise systems (CRM, forms, analytics, data capture).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration workflows preferred.
• Proficiency with Gravity Forms, ACF, WPML, Cloudflare, and caching frameworks.
• Working knowledge of tag managers, pixels, marketing automation tracking, and analytics tools.

• Comfortable supporting large organisations and multiple markets.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical issues into clear business language.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in an international, fastpaced setting. Desirable Qualifications
• Azure certifications or experience working with Azure Web Apps / Azure MySQL / Azure Blob Storage.
• Experience in large-scale corporate or multi-market digital environments.
• Understanding of enterprise security, governance, and GDPR compliance.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
