Engineer / Senior Engineer – Instrumentation Full Time

To Provide engineering services with respect to instrumentation of Power plant as to enable the Power plant operation to meet the targeted power generation without any interruption due to breakdown.

Routine and shutdown Planning, arrangement and execution of all maintenance activities in Power plant, ensuring time bound completion of each job with due quality and safety.

To plan and execute Preventive maintenance, scheduled maintenance and fulfill the emergency requirement related to power plant instrument in co-ordination with operation, Mechanical & electrical department.

To identify and eliminate the recurring routine problems and maximize the work output from the available workforce. To document all the activities to find the behavior of each individual equipment / system and make future action plan.

Indian Rayon, ( A Unit of Aditya Birla Nuvo Limited), one of the Blue Chip Unit, operating in Yarn and Chlor-Alkali business, is the second largest Viscose Filament Yarn (VFY) manufacturer in India, located at a remote place Veraval in Saurashtra region of Gujarat on the seacoast.

Aditya Birla Group took over this organization in 1966 with captive production capacity of 5.0 TPD. It has grown over the last 5 decades to capacity of 54 TPD comprising of 43.5 TPD Pot Spun Yarn (PSY), 4.5 TPD of Continuous Spun Yarn (CSY) and 6.5 TPD of Spool Spun Yarn (SSY- Enka, German technology commissioned on 2013).

Towards self-reliance, it had installed 16.5 MW Power Plant in 1997 and 18 MW in 2006, for cost effective, uninterrupted power supply, and also had commissioned a Caustic Plant with capacity of 100TPD in the year 1997, which has now been expanded to produce 250 TPD.

MAJOR CHALLENGES

Instrumentation is the heart of the plant .To ensures smooth functioning of Instrument in Power Plant continuous monitoring is required. Instruments regulate the plant operation properly. Any failure or malfunctioning of Instrument can lead to power plant stoppage and stop the production of Caustic Plant. Caustic plant production is viable only on the power supplied by the power plant therefore to make the plant available is the key factor.

KRA1 Instrumentation Maintenance

Routine and shutdown job planning and execution For day to day job arranging Material & Manpower for the Execution of job as per schedule.Coordinate with operation, electrical, and mechanical department for shutdown, clearance and trial of the equipments.

Breakdown analysis & taking corrective steps. Implementation of all technical modification schemes.

KRA2 To increase MTBF and reduce MTTR of Each equipment and system. Man, material, spares planning to to complete the job in optimum time. Solving immediate problems without sacrificing long-term results.

Find abnormalities, identifying & solving problems.

Focusing time & energy on priority issues.

KRA3 4.3 Cost Reduction & Inventory Control. Identifying losses / wastage & to take corrective steps or provide feedback to eliminate them.

Implementation of all technical modification schemes. To maintain Instrument in good working condition

To Procurement & Installation of standard quality instruments Indenting of material after checking Store and shop floor.

To Monitor overtime & control judiciously.

To repair (In House) & reduce repairing cost.
