City Operations Lead – Hyderabad Full Time NEW

Octaloop’s flagship event Metamorphosis is coming to Hyderabad in 2026 — and we’re looking for someone on the ground to own it.

Role Description

As the City Lead for Hyderabad, you’ll be the face of IBT in the city. You’ll work directly with the core IBT team to make the Hyderabad edition a sellout — handling everything from venue coordination and vendor management to community outreach, ticket sales, and local sponsor relationships.

This is not a passive role. We want someone who is deeply plugged into Hyderabad’s Web3, AI, startup, and tech ecosystem and is genuinely excited about building something meaningful in their city.

What you’ll do

Operations:

• Coordinate with venues, vendors, and local production teams
• Manage on-ground logistics before and during the event
• Be the primary point of contact for all Hyderabad-specific operations
• Ensure smooth execution on event day — registration, setup, speaker coordination, sponsor activations

Marketing and Community:

• Activate Hyderabad’s AI, Web3, crypto, and startup communities — Telegram groups, college clubs, Discord servers, local meetups
• Represent IBT at local events and build buzz in the city
• Work with the core team to run city-specific social media and WhatsApp campaigns
• Get local media and influencers talking about IBT Hyderabad

Ticket Sales:

• Drive ticket sales through community outreach, group sales to colleges and companies, and local partnerships
• Own the Hyderabad ticket target and report weekly on progress
• Identify and activate local crypto communities, developer groups, and startup ecosystems

Sponsorship Support:

• Identify local Hyderabad-based companies, startups, and projects that could sponsor or exhibit at IBT
• Make introductions and hand off warm leads to the core IBT BD team
• Support sponsor activations on event day

Who we’re looking for

• Based in Hyderabad — this is non-negotiable
• Deeply connected to Hyderabad’s AI, Web3, blockchain, crypto, or startup ecosystem
• Self-starter who doesn’t wait to be told what to do
• Organised and reliable — you follow through on what you commit to
• Comfortable talking to people — community leaders, venue managers, local sponsors, attendees
• Passionate about Web3 and the IBT mission of building India’s blockchain community city by city
• Previous experience in events, community building, or business development is a plus but not required — hunger matters more than experience
