About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions using Microsoft Azure data services. You will work closely with data architects, business analysts, and data scientists to create robust data pipelines and architectures that support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-based data engineering, with expertise in Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and ADLS Gen2. Your primary focus will be on building efficient ETL/ELT processes, optimizing data performance, and ensuring data security and reliability. This position offers an excellent opportunity to lead technical projects, innovate with new data technologies, and contribute significantly to the company’s data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering or related roles, with a proven track record of working with cloud-based data platforms. A strong understanding of Microsoft Azure data services is essential, including experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and ADLS Gen2. Proficiency in programming languages such as PySpark, SQL, and Scala is required, along with experience in database management systems like SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake. Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps is highly desirable. Candidates should have experience with version control systems like GitHub and Azure DevOps, and excellent problem-solving skills. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
