Objectives Product Planning

Major Deliverables

• Understand Voltas current Room AC product portfolio. Map

competition brands wrt, features / benefits and price

points. Identify the gaps between current product portfolio

and the requirements of the marketplace, wrt product and

price positioning. Identify the opportunity to introduce a

new product that would plug the gaps as well as

differentiate vis-à-vis competition. Identify the value

proposition, arrive at the attributes of the Product

• Create briefs for all collaterals related to the product

including catalogue, comparison charts, presentations,

brief for Digital Marketing, etc. & have the same executed

through Marketing.

• Create a Module for the Product Line up in conjunction

with the Training Vertical, Brief the sales team on the

product features, benefits and the sales pitch. Help the

Training Team to conduct Training for ISDs (in shop

Demonstrators)

• Monitor the sales off-take forecasts and demand for the

product and be involved in the Demand / Inventory Buffer

Planning Process. Map MOP (Market Operating Prices) /

Product Mix / SKU Details of Competition Brands through

GFK Analysis.
