Assistant Professor – IT Full Time

Job Summary

The Assistant Professor – IT will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, guiding students academically, contributing to curriculum development, and participating in research and institutional activities. The role requires strong subject knowledge, teaching skills, and a commitment to academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practical sessions in Information Technology and related subjects.

• Teach subjects such as Artificial Intelligence and Knowledge Management, Programming, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Embedded System, Database Management Systems, Networking, Cyber Security, Data Structures, AI, Cloud Computing, Web Technologies, etc.

• Develop lesson plans, course materials, and instructional resources.

• Conduct internal assessments, assignments, projects, and examinations.

• Evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback to students.

• Assist in designing and updating curriculum as per industry and academic standards.

• Develop innovative teaching methodologies, including case studies, practical learning, and project-based learning.

• Incorporate emerging technologies and industry trends into the syllabus.

• Conduct research in relevant IT domains.

• Publish research papers in reputed national and international journals.

• Participate in seminars, conferences, workshops, and faculty development programs.

• Apply for research grants and contribute to institutional research initiatives.

• Mentor and guide students in academic and career development.

• Supervise student projects, internships, and dissertations.

• Provide counselling and support for academic improvement.

• Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and institutional activities.

• Assist in accreditation, academic audits, and documentation work (NAAC, AICTE, etc.).

• Support admission, examination, and placement-related activities.

• Contribute to institutional development initiatives.

Educational Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (M.Tech / MCA / M.Sc IT) with minimum 55% marks.

• Must be NET Qualified 

• PhD preferred as per UGC/AICTE norms.

• PhD candidates will be given preference.

Experience

• 5-7 years of teaching experience in teaching at college/university level preferred.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of IT and Computer Science subjects.

• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C++, etc.).

• Knowledge of modern technologies such as AI, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, and Cyber Security.

• Good communication and presentation skills.

• Strong research aptitude.

• Ability to mentor and motivate students.

• Proficiency in MS Office and academic software tools.
