Position: Electrical Specialist/Supervisor

Summary

Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Electrical Specialist/Supervisor to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Gurugram/ Gurgaon – India.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of Electrical Engineers, Designers and CAD personnel in the successful execution of electrical engineering and design within budget and on schedule
• Provides technical leadership and guidance for the electrical team
• Mentor engineers-in-training and designers
• Prepare and check calculations as required
• Prepare electrical equipment specification packages, Datasheets, SoW, TBA etc
• Check vendor drawings and data for compliance with specifications
• Prepares detailed design, supply, construction and installation specifications
• Develop conceptual designs, studies, reports and proposals
• Ensures effective communication within project teams and with client engineers
• Track project metrics
• Report to Area Project Engineering Manager for project issues and to the overall Electrical Lead for functional issues
• Visit project sites and other Hatch design offices for project related activities as required

Qualifications

• Senior Engineer with 15 plus years of relevant experience – preferably in an EPCM environment for industrial projects, experience in large-scale M & M projects experience shall be added advantage.
• Engineering degree and registered as a Professional Engineer with the P.E.O or another Australian / Canadian Professional Engineering Association
• Sound Knowledge of industry, regulatory codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI etc). Experience to Australian codes & standards shall be added advantage.
• Proficient with the electrical software: ETAP, SKM. Understanding of COMOS / SPEL will be added advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multi disciplinary teams
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Advanced computer skills
