Job Overview And Responsibilities

The Contract Strategy branch of Airframe Heavy Maintenance at United Airlines is responsible for sourcing best available MRO services and developing/ managing relationships with third-party providers with the objective of reducing waste, total cost and risk to the company while improving levels of quality, service, and technology.

The Contract Strategy Senior Analyst will support internal stakeholders with strategic initiatives, including, but not limited to contract reviews, supporting strategic sourcing events such as market research/analysis, process improvements, and system and tools updates/improvements. The goal of these initiatives is to capture real total cost of ownership (TCO) savings and drive process efficiencies. Collaboratively developing a consistent approach to managing third-party risk will be a key part of this role.

• Lead Airframe Heavy Maintenance check invoice review and analytical validation of Airframe OSV MROs
• Perform data-driven cost analysis and root-cause deep dives on labor and material spend, identifying variance drivers across high-volume maintenance events
• Enhance accuracy and reliability of multi-million-dollar Airframe OSV forecasts by incorporating volume trends, checkline throughput, and historical cost behavior
• Develop power-point presentations summarizing financial performance metrics for Tech Ops Heavy Maintenance leadership
• Build category expertise in heavy maintenance spend and proactively identify scalable savings opportunities in labor and material across expanding OSV checkline footprint
• Partner with Global Procurement and Tech Ops Finance to support strategic decisions on OSV footprint expansion, vendor allocation, and volume distribution
• Monitor and enforce contract compliance across high-volume OSV checklines, proactively identifying financial leakage, risks, and gaps
• Develop meaningful dashboards to track contract compliance and financial performance of NB and WB MROs
• Drive automation of manual reporting and analytics workflows to improve throughput, scalability, and decision-making speed in a volume-intensive environment
• Support ad-hoc analytical requests from leaders in the Heavy Maintenance organization
• Support Strategic MRO footprint optimization decisions (RFP evaluations, Station readiness, station performance etc)

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Finance
• 4+ years of experience with strong analytical background
• Deep understanding of data structures, relationships, and efficient transformations
• Familiarity with all parts of the data ecosystem — acquisition, engineering, storage, management, analysis, visualization, and deployment
• Knowledge and application of data visualization best practices
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
