Studio and Media Assistant – Centre for Thinking, Language, and Communication (CTLC) Full Time

About the Role

The Centre for Thinking, Language, and Communication (CTLC) at Plaksha University is seeking a Studio and Media Assistant to support the strategic operations of the CTLC Studio and contribute to the development of high-quality digital content and media initiatives.

This role combines studio management and digital content production responsibilities, offering an opportunity to support studio-led initiatives, student engagement, multimedia production, and institutional storytelling. The position is equally divided between Studio Management (50%) and Digital Content and Media Production (50%).

Key Responsibilities

Studio Management

• Coordinate and support studio-led events, including logistics, technical coordination, and execution.
• Oversee Digital Museum Lab content initiatives and supervise student-led projects related to digital content creation.
• Maintain records of studio usage, including bookings, footfall, and activity logs.
• Monitor the operational condition of studio equipment and coordinate maintenance, servicing, and repairs as required.
• Manage procurement requirements related to studio operations, including equipment, software, and other resources.
• Conduct studio tours, demonstrations, and orientation sessions for internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor studio interns by assigning tasks, reviewing outputs, and ensuring quality standards.

Digital Content and Media Production

• Develop and execute multimedia projects, including promotional videos, podcasts, social media campaigns, event coverage, and storytelling content.
• Manage and strengthen CTLC’s presence across digital platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Spotify.
• Oversee the creation of visual, audio, and written content aligned with institutional branding and communication objectives.
• Coordinate with student teams on content-related projects and provide guidance throughout the production process.
• Perform post-production activities, including video editing, podcast editing, and basic graphic design.
• Monitor content performance and campaign analytics to optimize engagement and outreach strategies.
• Stay informed about emerging trends in digital media, higher education communications, and content marketing.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in social media management, content creation, media production, studio operations, or institutional communications.
• Experience working in academic institutions, educational organizations, or nonprofit environments is preferred.

Skills Required

• Strong expertise in content creation, including video production, podcasting, and digital storytelling.
• Understanding of studio production workflows, recording processes, event coordination, and content development.
• Proficiency in editing and design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Canva, Audacity, or similar platforms.
• Experience in social media management, content strategy development, and performance tracking.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate with diverse stakeholders, and work in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
