Summary: Job Description As a Microsoft 365 Admin & Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for leading and managing the complete lifecycle of Microsoft 365 migration activities, including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, M365 Groups, and Cloud Security Groups. This role involves conducting discovery assessments, developing migration plans, coordinating pilot migrations, overseeing post-migration activities, and executing phased migration for approximately 1,300 users.
Duration of the Project would be 6 Months.
Roles And Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the complete lifecycle of Microsoft 365 migration activities
- Conduct discovery assessments to identify users, data repositories, permissions, security groups, and migration dependencies
- Develop detailed migration plans including user mapping, schedules, allocation, and cutover strategy
- Coordinate and execute pilot migrations to validate tools, processes, and outcomes
- Execute & Manage phased migration for 1,300 users while minimizing business disruption
- Oversee post-migration validation activities including user acceptance testing, issue resolution, and reporting
- Plan and manage cutover activities including delta migration, transitions, hypercare support, and final sign-off
- Utilize Sharegate migration tools for secure and accurate migration of M365 workloads
- Collaborate with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors for successful project delivery
- Develop and execute communication plans including migration notifications, FAQs, user guides, and training sessions
- Identify migration risks, create mitigation strategies, and manage escalation procedures for critical issues
- Monitor migration progress, maintain project documentation, and provide regular status reports to leadership teams
- Support knowledge transfer activities and provide post-migration documentation to internal IT support teams
Requirements:
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions in an IT environment
- Proficiency with Sharegate migration tools
- Strong knowledge of O365 administration and migration
- Experience with O365 support & services
- Familiarity with on-prem cloud environments
Plus Skills:
- Certification in Microsoft 365 or related technologies
- Experience with other migration tools such as Quest or MetaLogix
- Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP

- Knowledge of Microsoft cloud security groups, permissions, and access management – Intermediate to Advanced
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and migration planning – Advanced
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook – Advanced
Understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud migration concepts, and user support processes – Intermediate to Advanced
