Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Head of Tax role based in Mumbai. The individual will oversee all tax-related activities, including tax planning, compliance, and reporting, with a focus on both direct and indirect taxation. Responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to Indian tax laws, developing efficient tax strategies, managing audits, and coordinating with regulatory authorities. The Head of Tax will also drive tax optimization initiatives and provide strategic tax advice to support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of Tax Planning and strategic tax optimization
• Strong expertise in Tax Compliance and knowledge of Indian tax regulations
• Experience in Indirect Taxation, including GST and related processes
• Proficiency in Tax Law and the ability to interpret legislative changes
• In-depth understanding of direct and indirect Tax principles
• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Experience with regulatory audits and liaising with tax authorities
• A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent
• 10+ years of relevant experience in a tax leadership role, preferably in manufacturing or related industries
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
