About the Role

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for automating the building, testing, and deployment of software to ensure fast and reliable releases. This role involves managing CI/CD pipelines, provisioning and managing cloud or on-premises servers using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and deploying and orchestrating applications using virtualization and containerization tools. The engineer will also be responsible for building observability dashboards, log systems, and defining alerts to catch performance bottlenecks and production downtime. Security protocols will be integrated directly into the deployment pipeline to ensure compliance with industry security frameworks. Collaboration with developers, quality assurance (QA), and IT operations will be crucial to resolve integration issues and optimize the software lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Automate the building, testing, and deployment of software using CI/CD pipelines.
• Provision, scale, and manage cloud or on-premises servers using declarative configuration languages.
• Deploy and orchestrate applications using virtualization and containerization tools.
• Build observability dashboards, log systems, and define alerts to monitor system performance.
• Integrate security protocols into the deployment pipeline to ensure compliance with industry security frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and IT operations to resolve integration issues and optimize the software lifecycle.

Requirements

• Deep familiarity with cloud environments like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency with automation servers and orchestration tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
• Experience using tools like Terraform and Ansible for IaC and configuration.
• Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong coding ability in languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Working knowledge of observability and logging stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Excellent understanding of Git workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with security protocols and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
