JOB TITLE: Director of Operations & Delivery

LOCATION: Hyderabad, Telangana, India

JOB DESCRIPTION :

We’re not looking for a senior recruiter or an HR manager. We’re looking for one operator who wants to own our entire Hyderabad delivery engine recruiter performance, submission quality, SLAs, and daily cadence. If something slips operationally, it lands on your desk before it reaches ours.

Rockwoods is a 22-year IT staffing and consulting firm based in Virginia, USA. Our clients include USAA, Hilton Hotels, Eli Lilly, PenFed credit Union, Langley Federal Credit Union, Stanley Black & Decker, US federal and US State and local clients. We’re growing fast and we need the right operational leader in Hyderabad to make that growth sustainable.

THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF:

You need to be told what to do every day.

You manage through check-ins rather than standards.

You’ve only recruited but never managed recruiters.

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF:

You have ownership mentality and high urgency.

You’re slightly intense about standards — in the best way.

You want real authority and real accountability.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN:

— Delivery accountability across all open positions and client requirements

— Recruiter performance: output, quality, speed, and follow-through

— Submission quality control: no resume reaches a client without meeting your standard

— Response SLAs: internal and client-facing timelines tracked and enforced

— Daily operating cadence: stand-ups, pipelines, accountability check-ins

— Process building: if a process doesn’t exist, you build it

— Reporting and visibility: US leadership knows where things stand without asking

— Escalation prevention: you catch problems before they become client issues

— Recruiter development: coaching, correcting, and when necessary, confronting

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Background- one of these:

→ Operations lead or delivery manager at a US IT staffing firm’s India office

→ Delivery head at a KPO or BPO supporting US staffing operations

→ PMO or program operations lead with direct US client exposure

→ India operations head for a mid-size US staffing company

Non-negotiable experience:

→ Has managed a team of IT recruiters not adjacent experience, specifically this

→ Has built or enforced submission quality control with non-technical recruiters

→ Has had direct accountability to US-based leadership

→ Has made personnel decisions independently coaching, performance plans, exits

Personality:

→ High urgency

→ Detail obsessed

→ Comfortable confronting underperformance

→ Strong written and spoken English

→ Ownership mentality – you fix it before explaining it
