Job Summary**

The Logistics Sr. Assistant I at Jabil, Inc. supports daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient material flow and accurate inventory management to meet production demands and customer commitments.

Job Responsibilities**

• Assist in the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling carriers, preparing documentation, and tracking deliveries.
• Process shipping and receiving paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in the logistics management system (LMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Conduct inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and support investigations into root causes of inventory variances.
• Communicate with internal departments (e.g., production, purchasing, customer service) and external partners (e.g., suppliers, carriers) regarding logistics matters.
• Support the implementation of logistics process improvements and participate in problem-solving activities.
• Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, as needed.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies within the logistics department.
• Assist with the preparation of logistics reports and metrics.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall logistics function.

Job Qualifications**

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a logistics, warehouse, or supply chain environment.
• Proficiency in using logistics management systems (LMS) and/or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe may be required.
