We’re hiring: Junior Python Data Analyst – Macro Research

SP2 Analytics is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented junior analyst to join our team in Pune and work full-time with a New York-based macro research firm serving institutional equity investors.

This isn’t a generic data role. You’ll be pulling live financial data from vendor APIs, cleaning and organising it, checking it for accuracy, and turning it into publication-ready charts and exhibits that institutional portfolio managers rely on.

What we’re looking for:

→ Python (pandas, numpy, requests) — you can write clean, working code

→ Comfort with REST APIs and financial data vendors

→ Understanding of financial statements and macro data (GDP, CPI, rates)

→ Sharp eye for detail — errors in institutional research are not an option

→ Willingness to work 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST (US overlap hours)

Good to have:

→ Bloomberg Terminal / BLPAPI exposure

→ CA Inter / CFA L1-2 / MBA Finance

→ Prior internship in equity research or financial data analytics

Experience: 0–1 year (strong internships and projects count)
