Maintenance Manager (Extrusion ) Full Time NEW

About the Role

The Manager – Plant Engineering (Extrusion) will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and engineering functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring operational effectiveness and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction and implement improvement plans.

Manage the team and establish standard policies and procedures in the department.

Monitors repairs through systems and controls (i.e. CMMS) to ensure work orders and requests are executed in accordance to established workflow.

Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation at plant.

Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out.

Schedule both internal and external work(s) maximising planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime.

Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the Shift management.

Ensure department objectives are met by working on agreed plan.

Input and hold responsibility for maintenance budgets.

Ensure reduction in energy conservation project as per agreed plan. (Unit/Kg)

Prepare the annual Maintenance budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals.

Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers.

Explore possibility & feasibility of process automation to reduce the manpower and other overhead cost with clearly agreed budget.

Support existing manual processes and implementing changes as per the requirements & feasibility.

Ensure EHS practices and standards.

Actively participate in accident/incident investigations.

Give input to the safety performance analysis and improvements.

Develop, maintain and apply consistent maintenance and reliability best practices (i.e. safety programs, routine safety audits).

Lead and execute 5S projects.

Create Kaizen culture in PE department by more employee participation in kaizen.

Qualifications

• B.E / Diploma (Mechanical Engineer) from a reputed & recognized university/Institute.
• 10 to 12 Years of manufacturing setup experience.

Required Skills

• At least 10 years of maintenance/engineering experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety & Environment skills.
• Computer knowledge and skills.
• Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001.
• Strong people management skills, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Innovation and change management skills.
