PLM Solutions Developer – ARAS Full Time NEW

As a PLM Solution Developer, you will configure, customize, and implement Aras PLM Solutions Tools across Oceaneering. You will provide technical guidance, anchor engagement efforts from business process recommendations to solution deployment, and lead architecture and design reviews. This role involves executing administration, configuration, and development activities, and assisting customers with the proper usage of Aras Enterprise SaaS PLM software and Engineering tools.

Responsibilities

Development, Configuration, Integration & Support

• Design, Develop, deploy, and support cloud based, highly available components of Aras Innovator PLM Solutions.
• Working closely with team of internal, external experts to implement Aras solutions & facilitate trouble shooting.
• Develop software Integrations with Aras with CAD, ERP, and other tools, utilizing C#, .NET, JS, HTML, and SQL.
• Participate in business requirement sessions with key users along with PLM system administrators Perform complex technical work, development, coding to accomplish tasks and projects within a defined time frame.
• Automate solutions, focusing on continuous integration and continuous deployment. Develop In-house expertise to guide on implementing, maintaining, and sustainability of Aras Innovator PLM
• Good Knowledge Web Services (REST/SOAP) to facilitate the Aras integration developments. Ability to translate business requirements to product deliverables, thinking in terms of outcomes rather than output.
• Experience with configuring CAD Integration tools such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Creo tools are preferred.
• Working closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff, updating, implementing and maintaining procedures.
• Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements, Maintain stable development environments.
• Enhance capabilities delivered in the Aras Platform to meet customer needs through Configuration/customization.
• Adapt and develop solutions in a manner consistent with an “Out of the Box” approach. Analyze schema for design changes & build technical specification documents with performance factors.
• Work closely between Business, Corporate IT, Cloud Infrastructure and Cyber Security teams, Develop application testing strategies, code review and unit, integration, and end-to-end process test-cases.
• Fix and resolve users’ issues with application functional processes, data integrity, and system performance during UAT and production support along with system-admin. Demonstrable experience guiding and educating junior developers in relation to ARAS capabilities is an advantage.
• Develop standard methodologies for system maintenance and application development for the PLM IT team.
• Develop and document test procedures and assist with unit, integration, and regression testing activities.
• Write and maintain documents to describe application development logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
• Set up, track, and use the source code configuration control and quality test deliverables from development team.
• Responsible for peer reviews of source code, and related deliverables to ensure quality. Perform data changes and scripting using SQL, Maintain data quality and system performance.
• Measure and prepare reports/dashboards to provide insights on business process efficiency and effectiveness within engineering systems with recommended improvements.
• Proactively propose “best practices” and standards to improve business processes for available tools.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/MS Software Engineering (preferred) or ME, EE, IE with software programming skills.
• Minimum five (5) years demonstrated ability in designing and developing Web Applications PLM,PDM & CAD.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in Aras Innovator PLM configuration, development and schema design.
• Good working knowledge of C# (.NET), JavaScript, AML and SQL.
• Experience in web apps using IIS and Web Services (REST/SOAP), JSON,HTML, XML.
• Databases such as SQL server, Experience in data migration from Enovia, Windchill and PDM apps are preferred.
• Familiarity with SQL triggers, stored procedures, functions etc, will be added advantage.
• Working knowledge with tools (GitLab, Git, Clear Case, SVN) and JIRA.
• Experience with configuring CAD tools such as Solidworks,CREO, AutoCAD and other tools is plus.
• Experience with extracting, loading and synchronizing legacy data and data cleanup activities is preferred.
• Experience in using Linux, Microsoft operating systems and Visual Studio etc.
