What your day will look like

Mission

The IT Business Analyst (f/m/d) plays a pivotal role in connecting IT and day-to-day business operations, supporting transformation initiatives and helping to raise the maturity of IT service delivery. This role focuses on translating business needs into clear, practical technology requirements and solutions.

By understanding business objectives, analysing processes, and shaping well-aligned recommendations, the IT Business Analyst ensures proposed changes support the company’s strategic goals and improve overall efficiency. Working closely with stakeholders, the IT Business Analyst helps ensure technology solutions meet agreed business outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage stakeholders, including senior business leaders, to elicit, clarify, and document requirements. Build and maintain strong working relationships so expectations are managed and needs are consistently met.

Data Analysis: Collect, review, and analyse business and industry data, including KPIs, financial reports, and other key metrics, using appropriate data analytics tools.

Process Improvement: Assess current processes and systems to pinpoint improvement opportunities, including business process mapping and business capability modelling.

Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for projects, processes, and operational activities.

Recommending Solutions: Shape solution options with assistance and support from relevant technical/solution architects, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements. Help ensure solutions are planned and designed in line with budgets, standards, best practice, architectural principles, and strategic goals. Support implementation teams through delivery.

Reporting: Produce reports, dashboards, and visualisations of business and service performance to support understanding and inform decision-making.

Continuous Improvement: Keep up to date with industry trends and good practice and apply learning to strengthen business analysis approaches over time.

What you need to fulfill the role

Experience (technical / Leadership)

• Proven experience in business capability modelling, requirements gathering, business process mapping, and process improvement, ideally within a similar industry.
• The successful candidate will be comfortable managing and cultivating professional relationships at all levels of the organisation and will have experience working with stakeholders from different backgrounds and cultures.

Functional expertise or method expertise

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field; CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification is desired.
• Familiarity and proficiency with data analysis and project management software.
