About The Role

Responsible for driving day-to-day execution of strategic initiatives across lending and financial products, working closely with Product, Technology, Business, and Operations teams to translate strategy into scalable outcomes. The role requires strong program management capabilities, the ability to analyze data to identify trends, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and continuously improve performance across processes and customer journeys.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven problem solver with strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, capable of operating in a cross-functional environment. Prior exposure to collections or recovery strategy—across channels such as tele-calling, field, or digital—and familiarity with risk or performance metrics (e.g., portfolio health, delinquency, NPA) is an added advantage.

What You’ll Do

• Strategy Execution & Monitoring: Implement and monitor collection strategies across different loan products (merchant and consumer), ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This includes optimizing strategies for different delinquency buckets.
• Channel Management: Oversee the performance of various collection channels (telecalling, field agents, legal, and digital channels like SMS, email, WhatsApp, in-app notifications). Analyze channel effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze collection performance data, identify key trends, and provide regular reports on key metrics such as roll rates, recovery rates, NPA, and collection efficiency. Develop dashboards and visualizations to track performance.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct thorough root cause analysis for missed performance targets, identify contributing factors, and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with other teams to implement solutions.
• Strategy Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine collection strategies based on data analysis, market trends, and regulatory changes. Propose and implement new strategies to improve recovery rates and reduce losses.
• Vendor Performance Management: Monitor their performance against agreed-upon KPIs, conduct regular reviews, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including product, technology, risk, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of collection strategies.
• Compliance: Ensure all collection activities comply with regulatory guidelines and company policies. Stay updated on changes in regulations related to debt collection.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of collection strategies, processes, and performance metrics.

What You Will Need

• 2-5 years of experience in strategy, analytics, program management, or related roles, preferably in Fintech, startups, Banking, or NBFCs.
• Strong ability to translate business strategy into execution through structured problem-solving and program ownership.
• Data-driven mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to track performance, identify trends, and conduct root cause analysis (RCA).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop actionable, insight-backed solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology, Business, and Operations.
• Understanding of risk, portfolio performance, or operational metrics is preferred.
• Exposure to collections or recovery strategy—across channels such as tele-calling, field, legal, or digital—is an added advantage, along with familiarity with metrics like delinquency, roll rates, recovery, or NPA.
• Prior experience in merchant lending or consumer lending is a plus.
• Awareness of regulatory and compliance considerations in financial services is beneficial but not mandatory.
