Technical Writer – SaaS | $650–$1,000 USD/month | Fully Remote

Location: Fully remote — you can be based anywhere in the world
Hours: Flexible – async-first, some UK or US morning overlap for syncs
Salary: $650–$1,000 USD/month
Contract: Full-time, permanent

About the company

Remote World is partnering with a UK-based SaaS company that builds project management software used by over 200,000 teams worldwide. Their product is known for being powerful but genuinely easy to use — and great documentation is a big part of why.

The role

You’ll own the help centre and user documentation — writing, updating, and improving the guides, tutorials, and tooltips that help customers get the most out of the platform. You’ll work closely with product and engineering as new features ship.

What you’ll do

• Write step-by-step help articles, feature guides, and onboarding content
• Document new features in coordination with the product team before launch
• Audit and improve existing help centre content for clarity and accuracy
• Create in-app tooltips and short-form UX copy in collaboration with design
• Track support tickets to spot documentation gaps and fix them proactively

What you’ll need

• Excellent written English — clear, concise, and jargon-free
• Ability to learn software products quickly and explain them simply
• Organised and consistent — you maintain style and structure across docs
• Comfortable working async across time zones with a remote team

Nice to have

• Experience writing help content for SaaS or web products
• Familiarity with tools like Intercom, Zendesk, or Notion
• Background in UX writing or content design
