GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:

This leadership position emphasizes proactive support for the team, ensuring efficient operations, fostering collaboration, and driving excellence in accounting and finance practices.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting, treasury, and AP teams, focusing on performance, development, and talent acquisition.
• Lead projects to simplify, streamline, and optimize financial processes, using automation where possible.
• Collect and analyze key metrics to monitor team and process performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Help supervise the team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, accounting journals and reconciliations, and ensure bank validation processes are robust to prevent fraud.
• Ensure all operations comply with Indian and international financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
• Evaluate and resolve conflicts efficiently, striking a balance between procedural integrity and user satisfaction.
• Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and enhance the overall accounting experience.
• Coordinate the development and upkeep of accounting policies and procedures content, collaborating with teams to update and maintain relevant materials.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

• Internal: Global and Regional Controllership, Legal and Compliance, D365 Support Team, functional stakeholders (e.g., HR, IT, Product Supply, M&A, Innovation, Marketing, Finance)
• External: Vendors/suppliers, third-party partners, external auditors

ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE?

Main requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce
• 10+ years relevant experience in accounting and finance
• 5+ in a team leadership role
• Hands-on experience in all aspects of the accounting cycle, including month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Professional qualifications like a chartered accountant from ICAI, CMA
• Proactive approach to conflict resolution, ensuring issues are addressed swiftly and effectively while upholding company standards and policies.
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with D365 system is preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills and proven track record in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and follow-up to resolve issues.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a collaborative environment
• Languages: Fluent in both written and spoken English — essential for communication with global teams, system use, documentation, and vendor interactions
