Role Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager (Freelancer) to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and maintain accurate financial records. This role requires strong expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and the ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping, invoicing, and reconciliations
• Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, payroll coordination, and expense tracking
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Monitor cash flow and provide financial insights to support decision-making
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders as needed
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation

Required Qualifications:

• 3–6 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related roles
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar)
• Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
• Understanding of tax compliance (GST, TDS, etc. for India-based operations)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment

Good to Have:

• CA / CMA / CPA (completed or in progress)
• Experience working with startups or international clients
• Familiarity with US accounting standards (GAAP)
• Basic financial planning and analysis (FP&A) skills
