Role Description

The AGM/DGM Supply Chain role is a full-time, on-site position based at one of our Business Units in Gurgaon area. The candidate will manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management, to ensure efficient processes and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities include supplier relationship management, implementing supply chain strategies for quality improvement and cost reduction, demand forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role also involves streamlining operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications

This is a strategic leadership position that will directly influence cost competitiveness, working capital efficiency, localization strategy, supplier capability, operational continuity, and long-term scalability of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive end-to-end supply chain strategy across procurement, sourcing, supplier development, planning coordination, inventory management, and supply continuity.

• Lead working capital optimization initiatives through strong inventory control systems, inventory turns improvement, planning discipline, and supply chain efficiency enhancement.

• Develop and strengthen a robust supplier ecosystem across Tier 2, Tier 3, and global suppliers with a strong focus on quality, reliability, cost competitiveness, and long-term partnerships.

• Build and execute strategic sourcing initiatives considering geopolitical changes, logistics disruptions, and raw material volatility.

• Lead vendor development and supplier localization initiatives including identification and development of alternate suppliers.

• Ensure forecasting accuracy and alignment between customer schedules, internal planning, and supplier readiness to maintain seamless operations and delivery adherence.

• Validate supplier capacities, conduct periodic supplier reviews, and establish strong systems for supplier schedule adherence and production readiness.

• Ensure supplier quality systems as per automotive quality systems and standards and quality assurance frameworks along with Quality teams

• Manage commodity sourcing strategies

• Champion digitization initiatives across the supply chain function through SAP, planning systems, analytics dashboards, AI-enabled forecasting tools, and process automation initiatives.

• Build a culture of accountability, responsiveness, execution discipline, and continuous improvement across the supply chain ecosystem.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 18+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, planning, and supplier development within automotive components or manufacturing industries.

• Strong understanding of automotive systems, OEM expectations, supplier quality processes, and manufacturing operations.

• Proven experience in handling complex supplier ecosystems, localization programs, cost optimization initiatives, and large-scale operational coordination.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, leadership, and execution capabilities.

• Hands-on experience with SAP and modern supply chain digitization tools.

• Ability to work cross-functionally across operations, quality, finance, engineering, and business leadership teams.
